Ways to Give:
At South Cariboo Health Foundation we try to make it easy for you to support us-you can donate via cheque, cash, pledge or credit card. You can send donations in memory of a beloved friend or relative, as a thank you for care received or simply because you want to support the work being done by the foundation. We are proud to recognize our supporters in a variety of ways and in addition all donors will receive our Official Charitable Tax Receipt along with our grateful thanks.
Cash or Pledge of Money
You can make a donation by cash, cheque or using your VISA or MasterCard. You may contact us by email at SCHF@bcinternet.net, by mail, or by dropping off a donation at the 100 Mile House Hospital. Please click on our Donation Form.

Tribute --- "in Memory of" Gifts
You can express your feelings of love or sympathy when someone dies by making a donation "in memory of" that special person. Such a meaningful gift will be not only a tribute to that person, but will be a important benefit to patients and their families in our local health facilities. Upon receipt of your gift, we will send a sympathy letter to the family/friends of the deceased, notifying them of your gift. The gift amount will not be disclosed. You will receive acknowledgement of your gift along with a charitable donation receipt.

We encourage you to seek legal and financial advice before finalizing your planned giving options or estate plans. Let us know if we can be of assistance.
Wills
After responsibly planning for your family's future you may decide to make donation to the South Cariboo Health Foundation. A bequest in your Will can detail a specific dollar amount, percentage of your estate, or a particular assets to be donated to the Foundation. It can also be part of your plan to give back to the community, strengthening its future.
When you make a bequest to the South Cariboo Health Foundation in your will, your estate is entitled to a charitable tax receipt for the full value of the bequest. If the gift exceeds 100% of the net income in your final tax year, the excess may be carried back to the previous year. This can create tremendous tax savings for your estate.
A bequest can be unrestricted or designated to any of the areas in the Health Centre. If you wish to make a designated gift we encourage you to speak to our Foundation representatives to ensure that the gift is properly handled according to your wishes.
Life Insurance
You can take out a life insurance policy with South Cariboo Health Foundation as the beneficiary. You pay a small annual premium, but your eventual gift is significant. Tax receipts are issued for all premiums paid. You can also donate an existing policy that is no longer needed and receive an immediate tax receipt for the current cash value of the policy.
Gifts-in-Kind
Gifts-in-kind involve the donation of property, goods or services instead of cash. Our Foundation issues tax receipts for the fair market value of most gifts of goods, but not for services.
Sponsorships
Sponsorships are a great way for community groups, businesses and corporations to support the South Cariboo Health Foundation. Not only will their sponsorship help us buy the medical, surgical and diagnostic equipment our physicians and nurses need in order to continue delivering quality health care, but they will also receive recognition in the community.
Sponsors of our events are honoured before, during and after our events by means of plaques and awards, programs and posters, as well as notices in the mall and daily newspapers.
Corporate Gifts
Your Company Makes an Annual Gift - By making a generous donation each year to the South Cariboo Health Foundation, your company will be annually linked to our efforts to improve health care within our community.
Company Matches All Dollars Raised By Employees - This allows both your employees and you to shine as corporate citizens in the community.
Employees Organize A Special Event - By planning a special event your company and its staff will feel the sense of pride in working together towards our community health goals.
Employee's Participate in A Payroll Deduction Plan - Companies like yours can deduct donations at source from willing employees, thereby making it easier to give.
Employee's Fund/Association - Your Corporation sets up a fund, or has one already established, that organizes special events to raise funds for the South Cariboo Health Foundation.
